If the instant impact isn’t trustworthy they may not stop to discover more about your brand.
People asses your brand in 3 seconds.
People need to see that you’re a reputable business, worth spending their time on. (this doesn’t mean you can’t show your personality, you should, you need too!)
It means taking the time to make sure your content exudes your key message and personality, at first sight and before anyone has read anything.
Being mindful about the quality of the content you produce.
If you cut corners with your content, people will think you cut corners with your product or service.
I’m not saying over produce everything, just make sure the basics are covered...focus, layout, message and keep it simple.
Most of us are overstimulated at the moment due to the challenges of life or the nature of social media... make it easy for them. You are there to assist them.
How do we do that?
Firstly, build a brand that targets your dream clients. Use all of the tools available at your disposal.
● Build your brand colours and fonts to speak to your dream clients only. Use colour psychology and aesthetics to catch their eye. They don’t want to be looking for long. Help them make the match faster by choosing colours that speak to them, not you.
● Different target markets respond differently to different design styles. Some groups like neurodivergent people feel better with a slightly different design layout.
● Know your limits. There are ways to build enough-perfect-content for your brand easily without over-spending financially or eating away at your time. Ask yourself; Are you good at creating content? How much time do you actually have to spend on it? Have you looked at UGC? Skill trading with someone else? The options are actually endless… you can read some of my favourites here.
● How often do you really need to post? Honestly? This is no secret but consistency and quality have proven to be more important than posting all the time.
● Do you need help with your written word? If you’re not concise and creative with the written word finding someone who is will give you a boost. They can help you craft a tone of voice down to a collection of phrases you can use on repeat to catch attention of get your point across easily.
You only have 3 seconds.
If you aren’t drawing them in emotionally/instinctually, your message isn’t clear, and your important info is hard to find instantly.
They will leave at 4 seconds.
