What is a Visual Brand Strategist?

A visual brand strategist, uses design tools, techniques, and psychology to create a trustworthy and truly desirable brand.

Anywhere your brand is visually represented, and I mean anywhere from social media, to your website, to pitch presentations. We know how to craft the ideal message to get your desired customers at a deeper level.

This may sound a lot like branding or visual identity, it is, but we take it further... We also help you create your visual representation and ongoing content.

That’s why our motto is “Your one-stop-shop for obscenely attractive content, and everything visual communication.”

Creating a brand that evokes a FEELING and builds TRUST with your customers, at first sight.

Now, why is this important? People buy a FEELING. The faster and with more impact they feel you can help them, put their fears at ease, or solve a problem, they are more likely to invest in you and your business. This goes across all types of feeling… are you selling the next viral #tiktok sweatshirt and want them to feel that need or desire in their soul? Want to help people within their business where they have been stressed and just need to feel calm again? All of these feelings can be portrayed visually, before they even get the chance to read anything about you.

From there, it is always TRUST. It’s a tough market right now, people genuinely are having trouble paying for any of the necessities they took for granted a year or two ago, you need to level-up ahead of your competition. People won’t risk their hard earned cash on anyone they don’t feel is 100% legit and worth it. It’s not about being present more often, or being the loudest, it’s about being trustworthy. If you put the effort and love into your brand/business and it’s obvious to anyone who views your channels you’ve already moved ahead of others.

At first sight? 3 seconds, that’s all any of us have to get people's attention these days. ‘Thanks’ to the direction of social media, it’s been proven that our brains are changing and becoming harder to keep focused. This has really affected how we represent ourselves and how we deliver our marketing messages. The next time you look at a brand for the first time, on Instagram or their website, pay attention to how you feel, the instant reaction. We all feel and think something within that first look.

  • Is it appealing to you… are you interested?

  • Do you feel calm, or energetic?

  • Can you tell what industry they're in instantly?

After this initial 3 seconds, if you're interested you will stay to keep looking. Those initial reactions will also stay with you as you explore more.

  • From here, is the message clear?

  • Can you find out the key details quickly, within the next 20-30 seconds?

  • Has the brand taken care to show how professional they are and that they have pride in their product, clear images, easy to view?

  • Have they shown you content that intrigues you further?

  • Do you want to keep looking?

  • Is there any chance they could scam you?

All of these things pass through all of our minds when we look at any new brand or service. And at the end, if you pay attention you do just ‘know’ that a brand is trustworthy, that they’re legit. This is all done with the visuals.

No matter what is being sold, these are not only key to standing out ahead of the competition, no matter how amazing you, your product or service is. People won’t buy right now without them. This may change… but our basic psychology in this will not stray far. This should be the base in all businesses.

Building the right foundation.

To really nail this for anyone deep diving into your business ‘why’ is important. It explores your customer, how easily that demographic absorbs information. Do you want to portray a strong feeling like calm? What relationships do you want to build with your customer?

Then we make it practical…

What are your sales targets? Business goals?

Decisions need to be based on all of these factors, it’s not just about making something that’s pretty. (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to explain this) All of these factors should be brought into your visual brand and any content created. This is what we specialise in.

A few fun facts about the importance of your visual message my clients find super helpful to understand.

Amazing writing won’t be found unless it’s laid out in a way that people will find and have patience to read.

People look at 92% of the visuals on your profile or website. People will only read 64% of what you’ve written.

This leads to people often missing key elements of your message... or in some cases your message all together. How do you combat this? With amazing concise writing that sells your message quickly in your brand voice, and laid out in a way your brain will absorb nearly instantly. If you want to elaborate further and in more detail, this can always be done, but way into the product information or in a form like a blog post.
